Email accounts can be created for every adult, youth, and committee member of Boy Scout Troop 172. If your account has not been created, please contact the Webmaster.

What is my email address?
Email accounts are created in full first name and full last name format. For example John Doe would have an email account of john_doe@troop172.com.

Can my email be forwarded to another account?
No, email forwarding is no longer allowed with your Troop email accounts.

I forgot my password. How can I get it?
For security reasons, passwords can not be looked up on our website. If you have forgotten your password you must contact the Webmaster by either email or phone. You will be required to provide proof of identity before acquiring your password.

How can I change my password?
Passwords can not be changed from the Troop 172 website. In order to change your password you must contact the webmaster by either email or by phone.

How can I access my email?
You can access your email account by configuring an email program to download your mail. Several methods are described below.
For all email applications you need the following information.
Username: yourname@troop172.com
Incoming (POP3): mail.troop172.com
Outgoing (SMTP): mail.troop172.com
Please note that some ISPs do not allow the outgoing server to be a server other than their own. They may require you to replace "mail.troop172.com" in the Outgoing (SMTP) field with their server information. The Incoming (POP3) server must always be mail.troop172.com. |
